Good Question...you can say that the Mid Pacific Pistol League(MPPL) has been around since 1982. The primary function of the club is to provide a safe and organized vehicle for competitive pistol shooting. MPPL is affiliated with the following organizations:

• NRA
• HRA
• USPSA
• IPSC

We promote a variety of match types: NRA Action, ISA Steel, and IPSC. The match type we emphasize is the IPSC match; a format that tests the shooter's ability to solve practical shooting problems. Times are quick and the targets are placed at various distances. Shotguns and rifles are also shot as special sidematches every other month.

Matches are usually held on the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month. In addition to the day matches, MPPL runs a Night Match on the Saturday preceding the fourth Sunday(match schedule is subject to change).

Match fees for regular matches are:

           $15 early-bird members (8:00-8:30a, nights 4:30-5:30p)
           $20 early-bird non-members

           $25 members (8:30-9:00a, nights 5:30-6:30p)
           $30 non-members

Annual membership fee is $55 with a $25 discount for NRA members.
